The National Antimicrobial Resistance Committee provides an algorithm based decision making tool to assist doctors working in both community and hospital settings to prescribe antibiotics in line with national guidelines and local antimicrobial susceptibilites. All doctors are encouraged to use the Antibiotics Malta app when prescribing antibiotics. Additionally, the app incorporates a number of useful medical calculators. 

When registering for the app,  doctors without a gov.mt e-mail address must insert the Medical Registration Number for authentication. If a gov.mt e-mail address is used, there is no need to use the CORP password as the two platforms are not linked.

Once registered, users can access the app from any device connected to internet using https://antibioticsmalta.gov.mt/

Android Users: The app is currently not on Google Play. So, one must click here to download, save and extract the two files in the zipped folder. One file is the APP (ending in .APK). The other file is a word document (.docx) with step-by-step instructions on what you need to do. 

Apple (iOS) Users: Download the app from Apple App Store and follow standard App download procedures.
